Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. After this day there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates. So how is corporate IT dealing with the move to a supported version of Windows? Is Windows XP still around? Has the migration caused issues?
The following report, sponsored by Dell Software, is based on a survey of 467 IT professionals with responsibility for corporate desktops and laptops. The goal of the survey, conducted in June 2013, was to understand the current status of migration away from Windows XP, challenges faced during the migration, and other related questions.
