Systems imaging, especially at a larger scale, can be complex and time consuming. It is especially difficult to customize and deploy a large number of images across heterogeneous hardware and software platforms or to different departments within an organization using multiple operating systems.

Release 3.6 of the Dell™ KACE™ K2000 Systems Deployment Appliance, with its multicasting capabilities and new task sequence engine, can greatly reduce the time it takes your organization to deploy images to large numbers of devices, while reducing bandwidth consumption and improving both deployment efficiency and reliability.

The K2000 is easy to use and enables you to install images to multiple devices simultaneously. You can also set deployment tasks and schedule deployments to execute at a later time, such as overnight, thus reducing the impact on end users and significantly lessening the burden on IT.  Plus, as an appliance-based solution, the K2000 gets to work day one, and is easy to set up, use and maintain.

The Dell KACE K2000 offers the following new features and benefits:

  • Multicast imaging for faster large scale deployments and reduced bandwidth consumption
  • Task sequencing engine for consistent, controlled progress of deployments including “at a glance” status updates
  • Task scheduling for delayed, automated deployments that minimize user downtime and maximize available network bandwidth
  • Feedback engine for simplified, concise and centralized logging of all deployments
  • Support for heterogeneous operating systems including Mac OSX 10.9 “Mavericks” and Windows 8.1 “Blue”
  • Support for latest User State Migration Tool  for ease of migration from XP to Win7/Win8
