Windows setup cannot install critical boot drivers

If you receive this message during a scripted installation of Windows 7 it means that there is a driver in the driver share that is conflicting with a driver from the Windows 7 media.

To resolve this issue, you should access the driver share \\<ikbox_ip\drivers>. Go to the Windows7 directory with the architecture of which you are deploying (x86 or x64). Copy everything within this folder to your desktop, then delete them.

Next, go to the driver recache page of your K2000 and recache the Windows 7 directory. Try the scripted install again and this time it should work.

Finally, once the system is operation, go into the device manager to see what drivers are missing. You can add just those drivers back to the driver share and recache to try the install again, but it is recommended you add one driver back at a time. In this manner you can better find which drivers are causing a conflict.

For drivers that cause a conflict, we suggest moving them to a post installation task.
