Using quotes in names for scripted installs or KPE boot environments with will cause XXXX.sif errors.


Note: With version 3.2 and newer of the K2000 appliance, KPE is no longer supported.

When naming any thing in the K2000 appliance, you should avoid the use of quotes in the names. This can cause scripted installs and also KPE boot environments to fail since both of these use unattended or sif files. Having a quote in these files will cause failures since the quotes change the meaning of the command to install.

There are likely other ramifications for using quotes in any names in the K2000 appliance other than the ones mentioned so the practice of using quotes should be avoided.
