We have heard from several customers that, following their
upgrade to K1000 appliance version 4.1.16500, they are unable to access the Category drop-down field in
their Help Desk module. We have identified that clearing the Internet Explorer browser cache
(or using a different browser; Firefox/Safari/Opera) resolves this
issue.
This can be handled by selecting the Delete files option in the Tools | Internet Options | Temporary Internet Files page of Internet Explorer.
The symptom is caused by a new Java library used in the server that Internet Explorer doesn't handle correctly until the browser cache has been cleared.
