Windows 7 Adoption Survey: A Survey of Technology Professionals (January 2010)

Summary

According to industry analysts, recent news articles, and user anecdotes, Windows 7 appears to be very promising. Since its release in October 2009, reviewers are praising its performance and stability, and even Gartner has recommended that corporate IT not wait for Service Pack 1 before testing and deploying. But one question remains, how is this playing out in the real life of corporate IT? Are they rushing to deploy or remaining conservative about this new operating system?

The following report is based on a survey of 923 IT professionals conducted in January 2010. The goal of the survey was to gather data about current plans and attitudes within corporate IT organizations in their adoption of Windows 7 for desktops and laptops.
