Kace Networks Expands Security Capabilities, Keeps Winning Customers

introduction

Kace is so far proving to be recession-proof; if anything, sales at the company seem to be picking up as the economy nosedives. That probably won't be easy to maintain, although we have long been fans of the company's business model, and the latest release is an example of how its technology continues to improve. Integrated systems and security management for endpoint devices make a lot of sense, and Kace with Lumension is looking like a pretty strong offering. The systems management market for the iPhone and other smartphones hasn't arrived yet, but it is coming, and Kace will be ready for it.

Summary

  • While other companies feel the pain of the recession, Kace Networks continues to grow. It now has more than 850 customers, having added about 150 in just the last five months.
  • The company has released version 4.3 of its KACE Systems Management appliance, which features new integrated patch management capabilities from Lumension, a Kace OEM partner.
  • KACE also recently added an Apple iPhone management module to its Systems Management Appliance.
