Administrative Alerts
Send Alerts to System Administrators
Notifying systems administrators of impactful events can be an important aspect of effectively managing your network, and can help to address different challenges.
The K1000 provides easy-to-use administrative email alerting capabilities. Email alerts can be configured to notify administrators of system related events that may require attention to prevent interruption of IT services, including computer notifications, network notifications and asset management notifications.
Computer Notifications
Using a point and click wizard, administrators can create alerts based on any computer hardware or software criteria such as Disk Free or Software Title, or last synchronization with the K1000.
Network Notifications
The wizard also allows administrators to create alerts based on any IP network scan criteria including IP address, ping status, open port or SNMP field values.
Asset Notifications
Administrators can also use the wizard to create asset notifications to alert on license or lease expirations. Alerts can be configured to send e-mail to individuals, distributions, or to the K1000 service desk which will automatically generate a trouble ticket. Alerts can also be configured to a scheduled frequency such as every 15 minutes, hourly, daily, etc.
