Systems Management. Done.™
KBOX Systems Management Appliance Modules
The Asset Management Module unifies and automates non-computer and computer inventory and asset management processes from deployment to retirement, including asset data audit, tracking, license compliance and reconciliation using an appliance-based approach.
Audit Asset Data
The Asset Management Module tracks non-computer and computer
assets in a single configuration management database (CMDB)
including phones, PDAs, teleconferencing gear and other
high value assets. Computer inventory, software and asset data is
audited automatically, on an on-going basis.
Track Assets
Once asset data is rationalized, the Asset Management Module
enables asset tracking through the lifecycle including move,
add, change and delete (MACD) activities. Vendor, contract,
service and maintenance contracts are also stored, ensuring
accurate tracking of financial and service impacts of asset
changes.
Reconcile Asset Data
Audit and tracking are just the first steps. As a CMDB,
the Asset Management Module contains both the consolidated
asset and vendor data to enable comprehensive asset data
reconciliation.
The Security Audit and Enforcement Module provides advanced scripts and utilities that automatically find and remediate security vulnerabilities, enforce security policies and, when necessary, quarantine problem nodes (optional on KBOX 1100) using an appliance-based approach.
Security
Audit provides a complete scan of your network to uncover
vulnerabilities - based on the OVAL
standard endorsed by US Computer Emergency Readiness
Team (US Cert) and the Department of Homeland Security
- Security Policy Management and Scripting includes pre-packaged security audit templates which can be edited and enhanced for specific security policy implementation
- Security Remediation and Quarantine provides the ability to remediate and fix problems, via patches, hotfixes and more. And when necessary, it quarantine nodes, limiting your network's exposure to vulnerabilities.
The KBOX Help Desk Module provides easy-to-use, configurable and integrated functionality for trouble ticket management including policy-based workflow across ticket submission, tracking and resolution and pre integration with key functionality.
Policy-based workflow drives configurable ticket management
The KBOX Help Desk Module includes the ability to configure process based rules to govern the flow of tickets. Tickets are also completely customizable, searchable and sort-able. Ticket queues can be pre-defined based on skill sets, location, and other parameters. Further, KBOX tracks the ongoing process, including reporting changes in ticket status to appropriate parties.
Pre-integrated with inventory, configuration & asset management
As KBOX is a pre-integrated appliance, all functionality is available from a single UI and all data is pre-integrated. Administrators can easily move from problem analysis in inventory management to resolution in configuration management. Further, all activities and impacts are tracked, ensuring easy auditing
Integrated self-service user portal
KBOX makes it easy for users to submit support requests by email or through the self-service user portal. The integrated portal allows users to access a flexible knowledge base, see hardware and software inventory information, install IT controlled software packages, and access support tickets.
