Keeping up to date with the latest drivers for everything from chipsets to networks used to be a hassle: You had to identify the hardware on the computer you were imaging and surf to multiple websites to find it. The K2000 aids you in multiple ways.
For hardware that’s not in the driver feed, the driver harvesting tool allows you to take a full driver inventory from a working computer and selectively upload drivers to your K2000. The drivers are available and visible on the K2000’s driver share, organized by operating system and computer.
Your K2000 updates its driver feed nightly, checking for the latest drivers for a variety of systems. They’re presented to you in a list, organized by computer model and supported operating system, so it’s easy to know what to import and what to ignore. Once you import a driver package, it’s automatically used by scripted installs.
The K2000 Boot Environment (KBE) allows you to take a detailed hardware inventory of a target computer and shows you whether the K2000 has drivers for a supported operating system. You can download quick reports in HTML, text and spreadsheet formats to aid in your planning, and details like precise Windows driver identifiers can help you in your search.
