The Application Services Layer
Providing Ease of Use and Flexibility

The application services layer supports the comprehensive set of applications that IT operations use for full PC and server lifecycle deployment and management. All interaction with the KACE Appliance is through a web-based user console, keeping the appliance secure and tamper-proof. The web-based console reduces on-going administrative costs by allowing administrators to access KACE Appliance functionality from any Internet-connected system, in any location.
The web based UI has also been designed for ease of use, a simple tabbed based interface providing a unified and intuitive interface to all appliance functionality to keep training time to an absolute minimum, provide for quick deployment and enable technicians of all levels to administer the KACE Appliance. Full integration further reduces costs and improves ease-of-use by giving administrators a unified view and easy navigation across all IT management functions such as inventory, software distribution, service desk and security. The unified view also extends into a common centralized approach to implementing policy management via dynamic groups across the functionality for even greater consistency.
This approach and design for usability is also common across multiple KACE Management and Deployment Appliances. KACE Appliance linking with single sign on support can be enabled to provide a single interface across both K1000 and K2000 Appliances.
