This FAQ only covers upgrades for the RSA to a new version that fail with error 255. If the customer gets an error 255 when trying to use the RSA please see this FAQ:
If the customer get a 255 error when trying to upgrade the RSA to a new version, please check the version of the RSA being upgraded. If it is more than one revision behind then the customer will get the 255 error.
To fix this have the customer reboot the RSA and then update the RSA in steps until it is at the most current version. To access the older updates please utilize the K2000 release archive.
You will need to go through the folders present and look for the .BIN downloads with name such as "kbox2000remote_upgrade_3.0.25214.bin". The RSA versions do not always match the version of the KBox 2000.
To find the correct download you will need to compare the version of the RSA to the current version listed here.
If it does not match then use the link above, or click on the link labeled "Archive" in the "Dell KACE K2000 Series Deployment Appliance" topic and search the folders for the upgrade files above until you find any upgrades that fall between the version of the customers RSA and the current version listed.
