Microsoft Office patches that close Microsoft applications during the deployment
The following patches will close the Microsoft Application, explorer.exe, firefox.exe, or snippingtool.exe during the deployment of the patch:
Microsoft recommends stopping all affected services and closing all applications that may use the affected files before installing the update.
If the required files are being used, the application may automatically close. Auto-recovery can be used to restore open documents.
We will update the news feed when the issue is resolved.
MS13-036 Security Bulletin Re-released from Microsoft
2013年4月24日
Today Microsoft released a new update to replace KB2823324, which was originally made available through MS13-036. As they previously discussed, they stopped distributing this update when they learned some customers were having issues. The new update, KB2840149, still addresses the Moderate security issue described in MS13-036, and should not cause these issues. If you have automatic updates enabled, you won’t need to take any actions. For those manually updating, they encourage you to apply this update at your earliest convenience

In addition to the above re-release for the patch, Lumension has also released a removal script (categorized as a Software Installer) for this as well titled:
System Management - Removal Only: MS13-036 Security Update for Windows (KB2823324)
You do not need to uninstall the expired 2823324 update before applying the 2840149 update; however, Microsoft strongly recommends it.
If you do not remove the expired update, you will retain a listing for 2823324 under installed updates so you can use the new System Management patch.

Having a machine label with a Linux machine will not start a patching schedule
2013年4月17日
- You are attempting to run a patch schedule and the phase stays in the "not scheduled" state.
- Doing a detect and deploy to all machine and all patches
- Your server version is on 5.4.70402 or higher
If your environment has Linux clients, and your patch schedule contains Linux machines, patching will not work.
We have a patch that will allow you to still do detect and/or deploy schedule that contains linux clients without this problem.
NOTE:
Linux clients are not supported via patching so those clients will still not perform a detect and/or deploy.
You must remove the linux clients from the patching schedule.
Click Security > Patching > Detect and Deploy patches > click the name of your schedule > Limit Run to Machines With Selected Operating Systems > Ctrl+Click the operating systems you wish to target.
Apply this patch:
kbox_patch_5.4.76847_K1_12331_patch_schedule.kbin
NOTE: This patch only applies to version 5.4.76847.
If you are not on this version, please update to the above version.
