KACE Customers Achieve Dramatic ROI and Cost Savings

New Survey Shows More Than 50 Percent of KACE Customers Reported Their KBOX Appliance Paid for Itself in Less Than Three Months

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – January 20, 2009 – KACE, the leading systems management appliance company, today announced the results of its 4th Annual Customer Survey that revealed its users are stretching their shrinking IT budgets with the time and cost savings achieved through the award-winning KBOX™ family of systems management and deployment appliances. More than 50 percent of KACE customer survey respondents reported their KBOX solution had more than paid for itself in less than three months. Time to deploy was another huge area of savings the survey found more than 50 percent reported full deployment in less than one week, another proof point that KACE customers are “doing more with less”.

The research, consisting of an online survey with more than 225 KACE customer respondents, was conducted last fall to gather data from end-users about their use and experiences with KBOX technology. The majority of KACE’s customer base comprise of medium enterprises which have been hit especially hard by today’s economy. The survey revealed that time and cost savings were critical factors for customers choosing to purchase KBOX. The survey also showed KBOX continues to attract first time systems management customers who in the past could not afford the cost and complexity of traditional software-only products, with over 62 percent responding that KBOX was their first commercial systems management solution.

A summary of the key survey findings include:

  • More than half of KBOX users who evaluated ROI report the KBOX paid for itself in less than three months;
  • More than half of KBOX customers deployed in less than one week;
  • The top three vendors replaced by KBOX were Altiris, Microsoft SMS, and Numara;
  • An increase in sales in every vertical industry KACE markets to, particularly healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing;
  • 85 percent of respondents reported “high” satisfaction with the KBOX systems management and deployment appliances.
