For 5.3
- On the client machine shutdown the KBOX Management Service (Kace SMMP Management Service)
- Go to the Registry using regedit and remove the two following keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Kace
Remove:
- InstallID entry
- MachineID entry
- Restart the machine and check in again. The K1000 appliance will generate a new keys for client machine.
For 5.1
- Go to the Registry using regedit and remove the two following keys:
Remove:
- InstallID entry
- MachineID entry
These keys are found in the following location in the registry:
- For 32 bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Dell → Kace
- For 64 bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> WOW6432Node → Dell → Kace
- Restart the Dell Kace Agent service. This should create new KUID entries.
