KACE Names Ken Sims Vice President of Business Development
Leader in Systems Management Appliances Fuels Growth Plans with the Addition of Key Executive Appointment
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – August 6, 2007 – KACE, the leading provider of systems management appliances, today announced the appointment of Ken Sims as the company’s vice president of business development. Sims brings more than 20 years of business development, sales, and marketing experience to the company.

Sims served as vice president of marketing and business development at Oblix, a recognized pioneer in the identity and access management software market where he helped to establish Oblix as a market leader. The market leadership position led to an acquisition by Oracle where Sims served as a strategic advisor. Sims’ career also includes a very successful tenure at Silicon Graphics, where he held several key sales management positions and played an instrumental role in driving Silicon Graphics leadership position in entertainment technology.
Sims has also served as vice president of business development and marketing at Zmanda, an open source backup software vendor and held key positions at content delivery start-ups Inktomi and Enjoyweb.
