KACE Wins Head-To-Head Competitive Bids Against Competitors Such As Altiris, LANDesk, and Microsoft
80 Percent of Customers Chose KBOX in Head-to-Head Competitive Bids in Q1 of 2007
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – May 21, 2007 – KACE, the leading provider of systems management and deployment appliances for the Fortune 100,000, today announced 80 percent of customers chose KBOX in head-to-head competitive bids in Q1 of 2007 over software-only competitors, such as Altiris, LANDesk, and Microsoft. Building great momentum within the Fortune 100,000 market, KACE earned the recognition as the only automated IT management vendor catering to the large and underserved mid-market. A sampling of new wins for the quarter includes: GotVMail, Rush Enterprises, Allianz Global Investors, Austin Diagnostic Clinic, and World Book Publishing.
The KBOX Appliances break the time, cost, and complexity barrier for Fortune 100,000 companies. Over the last two quarters, KACE has added more than 100 new names to its rapidly expanding customer list who selected the award-winning KBOX appliances over competitive offers in head-to-head sales competitions. Additionally, several organizations made the move to KBOX appliances from existing software-only solutions.
Service Group Insurance and Financial Services was one such company to recently make the move to KBOX appliances. “Due to persistent problems with our Altiris technology, we decided to seek out a more stable and comprehensive IT automation technology that could handle our growing needs,” said Joann Assawamatiyanont, IT Director for Service Group. “Initially we’re using the technology to help us become more efficient with incident management and more proactive with remote and after-hours maintenance. Soon, we’ll be rolling out Help Desk and IT Asset modules as well.”
Improved systems management and deployment are growing concerns for enterprises and Fortune 100,000 companies alike. Lofty expenses such as hardware and software prerequisites, installation, configuration, integration, maintenance, and training are required with traditional software solutions for systems management and deployment, leaving Fortune 100,000 sized companies unable to afford IT management solutions. These companies are in search of an out-of-the-box solution that meets the needs of an organization of their size, on their terms.
“The Fortune 100,000 market has specific requirements, they’re looking for a comprehensive, out-of-the box solution that’s also easy to deploy and use,” said Rob Meinhardt, CEO and co-founder of KACE. “The KBOX line of appliances was created to provide an all-in-one solution for the jack-of-all-trades IT professional. The market is reacting to the appliance-based approach, and repeatedly choosing KACE over solutions such as Altiris and LANDesk. As a result, our customer base is exploding.”
